So I am looking forward to a fun night celebrating the engagement of Kirsten and Paul. Kirsten and Paul got engaged in Ireland back in May. Tonight's featured red wine that will be served at the party, which will be held at Kitchen 233, is Clarendelle Bordeaux. I am sure this wine will not disappoint. I know nothing about wine, unlike Kirsten who knows it all, but I took some time to research this bottle of red to post it as a drink alert in honor of the couple. After some much needed research at lunch, Kirsten do not laugh if I am off on this, I think I finally figured out what Clarendelle Bordeaux is all about. Clarendelle is the winery, which was named after the original winery owner Clarence Dillion. In the 1930's, Clarence Dillion bought this little goldmine of a winery, also known as Chateau Haut-Brion. the winery is located in Bordeaux, France. That is where the Bordeaux comes from? So now we have a wine that is made by the winery Clarendelle in Bordeaux, France. Am I warm?
I am thinking that the red wine that will servered tonight will be a Clarendelle Bordeaux Rouge, so either Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, or Cabernet Franc. So the wine that will be served tonight will be Clarendelle Bordeaux Cabernet Sauvignon. Winner-Winner-Chicken-Dinner? (Nelson not to steal your line.)
According to the website, "The Cabernet Sauvignon, later-ripening varietals, provides both the freshness and armature for the wine thereby bringing with it refinement and structure but also a greater potential for aging."
